I was so excited to finally have an automatic wine bottle opener. The delivery of this particular item was quite difficult but I ordered it during the holidays, it wasn't a gift so no one was disappointed but me. NOW the unit itself feels sleek and doesn't take up much space on my small kitchen counter. I love the aerator that comes with the set. It's a bit noisy as I expected but since you're about to open a bottle of wine it doesn't last long. However, it seems to work well, according to the product description it works with synthetic corks. He goes through the synthetic cork and takes it out of the bottle, having a hard time spitting the cork back. I have to take a butter knife and press on the side of the cork to get it out of the opener before I can get the synthetic cork out. THEREFORE, my dears, I can only give 3 stars.
