I highly recommend these 400 abrasive pads for car paint prep, they are durable. I've been using a 600 3m grinding wheel to prep my cars for painting for several years and it would take twice as long as using them and cost me three times as much, about $64. These rims are fantastic and don't worry like me you won't be able to see the scratches on the finished paintwork.
