Review on 🔧 AQUARIA Eclipse 3 Motorized Part by Nate Forleo

I don't know why they call it a motor pump when nothing is pumping without an impeller and impeller housing. If this were a truly complete pump I would give it 5 stars unconditionally. However, once I run it, it runs much quieter than my original pump. I ended up using the impeller and its housing from my old pump and now I have a nice, quiet system that is exactly what I was hoping for. Years; the pump was always a bit noisy, the lid buzzed and rattled. After stumbling across them at Revain I decided to buy another pump. When I first installed and plugged in the new pump it just made a loud rumble and wasn't pumping water. I contacted the seller through Revain and they sent me another pump. After receiving the second pump, I decided to test it in a bucket of water before installing it. I installed the impeller and impeller housing, then the inlet pipe with the filter. I filled a bucket with water and put it in, but the bucket wasn't deep enough to start the pump. I removed the intake pipe and put the short impeller housing pipe in the water and wow it worked straight away, nice and quiet! I installed it in my tank and it started with no problems. Then I tried the same method on the first one which seemed bad to me and it also pumped water quickly and quietly. So if you think you have a defective pump, try to get it working without the down tube before messing around with a return. Be careful, Revain lists the impeller case for Eclipse 3 and Hex 5 and it is not the correct case for System 3! The impeller housing for the Eclipse 3 and Hex Five is designed for their 3 and 5 gallon tanks. Be sure to purchase the impeller and impeller housing for the Eclipse System 3 hood. System 3 seems to be discontinued as I don't see it listed on the Marineland website and parts other than the filters are hard to find. I hope this review will help some of you and get you out of trouble. what I encountered.
