🔧 AQUARIA Eclipse 3 Motorized Part Review

Great replacement part. As others have pointed out, you need an impeller or just take it out of the old one. I doubt its high cost and I don't blame Revain for it, let alone the manufacturer of such a simple, low powered pump.

This is my second sea soil pump and both have worked well but only about a year or two per pump. They work fine until one day they short out and stop working :/ hopefully that never kills any of my fish

My old engine started making a lot of noise and after cleaning it I had trouble starting it again. Replaced this part and everything works! So much quieter and restarts the first time. I wish it was cheaper but hopefully it will last as long as my original.

Our last pump is completely dead. The main thing that struck me about this new one is that it is so quiet when switched on compared to the other. Probably the other's kind is out of order, but we sometimes accidentally turn it off because it's on the light switch plug. Flicked the wrong switch, whoops, turn it back on. The old man gargled and gargled for several minutes, trying to force the air out of him. This one just came back and works flawlessly.

The seller helpfully informed me that I need to buy an impeller that fits this motor (I am a beginner and did not understand that the small fan that draws water into the motor is not automatically localized in the engine - and it is not visible on the picture). The description says "assembly" but you need to buy the impeller separately for the motor to work. The product works great now that I have all the parts!

Bought as a replacement in December 2016. I went to the water change in the tank on 12/23/2017, it didn't help. I was going to order a replacement but decided to take it apart and clean the parts including the impeller. Low and now after reinstalling it was working again. For those who say it stopped working after turning it off to clean the tank or make changes, please clean it first and then check again. Had to rush to order this to replace my motor which failed after cycling it on and off a number of times. It took less than five minutes from the mailbox to the tank. If you already have an Eclipse tank and the label on the back of the tank cover says Eclipse PFE3 then this is the motor to go for. If your pump doesn't even turn on, the motor is most likely to blame. You can keep this engine and use your existing diffuser and intake valve. I don't know why they call it a motor pump when nothing is pumping without an impeller and impeller housing. If this were a truly complete pump I would give it 5 stars unconditionally. However, once I run it, it runs much quieter than my original pump.
