Review on Upgrade Your Home Theater with Denon DHT-S316 Soundbar System: Wireless Subwoofer, Virtual Surround Sound & Bluetooth Compatibility by Kero Montes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I³'m satisfied with the product, it³'s well made and the price is also satisfying.

I bought the Denon DHT-S316 Soundbar in the Audiomania store, I came there hoping to listen and "choose with my ears", but it turned out that audiophile soundbars are considered plebeian "boxed" options and they don't let them listen. In the rest - the norms, they talked to me, told me in words what it sounds like (skepticism), gave a 5% discount (!), Delivered the next day for free. The device is connected to the TV set via HDMI ARC and worked without any problems from the TV remote control. Important (!) This is not a simple hdmi, but "reverse". The plug is the same, but it works differently. Comes with 1 meter length. Now the important (!) - the designer of this device needs to drive a nail into the head, and liars-marketers who attach pictures with a device hanging UNDER the TV burn in hellish fire. Few places publish the BACK side of the soundbar (I attach the photo), and there are triangular cutouts for the connectors directed to the EDGE of the device, and not to the middle. That's WHY?! - The device cannot be hung ABOVE the TV set, as the manufacturer recommends installation at the listener's level, and if the TV set is not close to the wall and is tilted, it's quite sad. - The device cannot be hung closely under the telly, since the control buttons are on top, including on. - It is impossible to turn the device on the other side (buttons down), because on the device the moronic inscription DENON in the middle will be upside down. - And if you hang it under the telly with a gap for access to the buttons, then wires hang around the edges (from different sides), because the connectors are turned TO THE EDGES! To fix this, you need to bend HDMI 180 degrees, turning it to the middle, glue it to the back wall with something (there are no fasteners), and from the middle make a cable channel up to the TV set. Did you buy a soundbar so that wires would not hang, so that it would not be ? Break off.

Pros
  • Decent sound for your money. Ease of setup.
Cons
  • The layout of the inputs / outputs of the device, problems with the placement of the connection.
