Review on πŸ” Superior Sunagor Mega Zoom Binoculars 30-160x70, Black: Unrivaled Versatility and Maximized Clarity by Robert Farrar

Excellent at low magnification Terrible at higher magnification

Based on my experience with these binoculars I would not recommend buying them. The problem is not only in the production process, which is adequate but not perfect. Before purchasing these binoculars, I read many articles advising against buying binoculars with a zoom function. now i know why At 30x magnification, the image is bright and clear, but a tripod is required for best results. Any setting over 30X and be sure to use a tripod. At lower zoom levels, the image is actually quite good. When you increase the magnification to higher levels, even with a very stable tripod, it's almost impossible to get anything clearly in focus. Additionally, the diopter adjustment, which works at 30x magnification, needs serious adjustment as the magnification increases. At lower magnification levels, binoculars can let in enough light for satisfactory viewing. Once you hit halfway, both the field of view and the light degrade, as expected. As you approach 160x maximum, the field of view and light are so poor that binoculars become unusable. I was surprised to learn that these binoculars are made in Japan. Japanese products are usually excellent. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of this topic. I advise everyone against buying these binoculars. After trying them I ended up sending them back to Revain as the quality just isn't there. I suspect buying zoom binoculars is a bad idea as it's impossible to get a clear image on one of them at high magnification. Even if you use a tripod, your results will be mediocre. If you need maximum magnification I would recommend getting a quality scope instead of binoculars. There are many brands that have magnification levels of up to 60x and beyond. The scope will definitely give you a clearer image than any zoom binoculars. Bottom line, these binoculars are not very good. They are very heavy, must be used with a stable tripod, and produce only mediocre results at higher magnifications.
