Truck looks great easy to assemble

Just installed this little one on my 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT 4X4. I'm sure you've seen most of the tutorial videos and forums that suggest disconnecting the upper control arm from the knuckle to install this gasket. I was able to assemble it very easily without cutting off my upper arm and without much effort - it took about an hour. Here are some general step-by-step installation instructions (at your own risk - I don't suggest you ignore the instructions!) 1. Lift the truck and place it firmly on its stands. I raised both front wheels to evenly relieve the stabilizer bar and suspension. Remove the front wheel from the side you are working on.2. Remove the nut from the top of the stabilizer link, the bolt may fall out - mine was left in (15mm)3. Remove the two bottom bolts on the upright that connect it to the lower wishbone (also factory 15mm). Once you pull them out you will see that the entire control arm assembly drops about 1/2" to 3/4" which is pretty much all the space needed to insert this shim. The strut has shifted slightly due to holes in the forearm, but this is normal4. Prepare hardware, nut, bolt, washers and gasket. Take the crowbar / crowbar. I used a 2 foot rubber tipped bar to avoid damaging the shiny new control arms or post. Mount the leveling pad in place. Once the spacer is in place, CAREFULLY use a pry bar against the suspension arms to push the stand back through the lift spacer and holes in the suspension arm. Note that you are not lifting the post to increase clearance, you are only using it to slide the post forward, backward, in, out, etc. to align everything. The instructions recommend inserting the screws from below, which I did.6. Begin assembly by tightening the nuts and bolts included in the kit to the specified torque. Then reassemble the stabilizer bar end links and tighten properly.7. Install wheel and repeat on next page.8. Get that ALIGNMENT! I took my truck to the store next door and they didn't do it right (but didn't charge me). I called a popular 4x4 shop near me to see who they recommend for wheel alignment on lifted trucks and put her man to work - it was well worth it. Much luck! The truck will look great - not too much lift and a slight forward lean.
