These pads have lasted great for about 8 rides (about 10-12 hours of use). Then, suddenly and without warning, the pads installed in the rear brakes failed. I pulled the brake balancer and nothing happened, zero rear brakes! Inspection of the rear brakes showed that the braking surface of both pads had come loose from the medal backing plate. One of the pads' braking surfaces actually fell out of the caliper, resulting in a sudden loss of braking. Another block remained in the caliper, but when it was removed it broke in two. I am assuming that whatever adhesive was used to bond the braking surface of the pads to the metal backing of the pads failed catastrophically after only 10-12 hours of riding. Terrible thing! I've never seen anything like this in my 25 years with baking discs.
