Review on Torin Steel Rotating Engine Stand: BIG RED T26801, 360 Degree Head, Foldable Frame, 3/4 Ton, Red - 1,500 lb Capacity by Matt Simpson

Good engine mount.

Nice, solid, easy to assemble stand that looks and feels solid and sturdy. So far we've only used it on the Northstar V8 and the kickstand hasn't shown any signs of approaching its limit - the only problem with this engine is its design. The water pump and upper coolant manifold are located at the rear of the engine. We had to use very long batches and spacers to clear the manifold. But I don't see any engine stands on the web that don't look the same in that regard. It would be nice if the front crossmember were a few centimeters narrower; It takes a bit of creativity to position the motor lift to install or remove the motor. But that crossbar gives good stability when moving the motor stand, so I'll live with that. My only other suggestion is to canter all the wheels for easier maneuvering. But overall this is exactly what I needed. It's good to be sure the motor won't bend the stand and the stand won't tip over, and when folded the footprint is about a third of what it would be when unfolded.
