We sharpen a lot of pencils during the day because we work from home and also study at home. So we needed a sharpener that was easy to use and easy to sharpen. So far this sharpener has consistently done its job. It doesn't move too much when sharpening pencils, which is nice. It makes some noise but not too loud. It sharpens the tips well and makes them beautiful. Once the tip has reached a certain point/sharpness, the sharpener will make a finer sound to indicate the job is done. Emptying the chips is easy and surprisingly not messy at all.
