Silicone vs Polycarbonate

I've reviewed both the silicone and polycarbonate (clear plastic like in this product) versions of Hori cases, so I'll post my comparison review below. . The only difference is that Mario-themed stickers are included. The stickers on the lid are already attached. It's great, but there was some slight warping around the edges of the lid, which is really noticeable on the crystal clear body. The stickers inside the 3DS are fun but look very cluttered. It's a matter of preference, but I think most people will prefer thicker material so they can take more abuse, especially with young children. Buy them separately if this kit is much larger than the same clear case that Hori sells separately. Below is my comparison report on this case: for you. I have been given both to review and will focus on comparing them. The transparent protector is made of thin plastic, which consists of an upper and lower part that can be easily attached and removed again (no damage). Although it looks dark in some photos, it is transparent. Some notice small spots of condensation under the tread, which don't bother me at all. I expect this to happen with any protector, but obviously transparent ones. In terms of protection, plastic does not protect against strong impacts. Rather, it prevents scratches from normal use. The black silicone case comes in one piece and is very easy to put on and take off, which is important as it blocks the SD card slot. It's like a silicone phone case, good, bad, depending on your preference. I think the transparent body looks better. The silicone feels nice but makes it more difficult to pocket the system when playing Streetpass. The silicone also covers the shoulder buttons (top) making them a bit harder to press, but it's good protection. These keys are provided with a transparent protection. As with the transparent protector, it only protects against scratches, not against bumps. Although both products are thin, they are thick enough to prevent using the charging station. I really don't like this and it could be fixed by fitting a bigger dock. I can't imagine how much it will cost them as the docks are only plastic with contact pins. A transparent protector can even balance and work unsteadily in the dock. The silicone case has tape covering one of the dock's connectors, although I'm sure it could be trimmed a bit to make room for the pens. A common complaint is that the 3DS lid closes too tightly, which allows the analog stick and bottom screen to leave marks on the top screen. The clear protector doesn't solve this problem in any way, but the silicone protector sits a little in the lid and provides enough extra room to solve the problem. I think it was an absolute godsend on the part of the manufacturer, but it's an elegant solution if you still want to use the protector. Overall, both treads are very high quality, with a good fit that is far superior to ultra-cheap alternatives. I prefer the transparent case for aesthetic and compact reasons, but the added screen protection in the form of a silicone protector made it a permanent solution for my 3DS.
