I installed this on my exhaust manifolds, top tube (Y-tube), down tube (4"), CAC tube(s) and cables. (new, doesn't need to be spliced) I'd say don't take a tool to tighten the tape, useless and even counter-intuitive honesty, alternative lifestyle pliers (ladies, as my dad called them) are perfect for winding and cutting on a hit. People said to use water, I didn't feel the need. Latex gloves and a tight set of overalls or paint suits will be the final step in keeping the air hose away from you. Smoke after installation. Can't confirm durability, as i have just received my 6ohshit from a restoration i think it will hold up well i used zip ties to hold the packaging and folded the ends under r so that it does not dissolve. Put on the SS tapes, USE TWO on each end, no need to save and do it again. seriously. Then cut the zippers, it will be easier. Air hose yourself and a shower, no need to itch!
