This is a beautiful rug, but I imagined it to be larger than it actually is. The length of the rug is okay, but it's only 19 inches wide, which is pretty narrow for any type of rug. I understand the recommendation not to machine wash, but how do you clean laundry/utility area rugs? Well I washed it gently in a front loading washing machine and the back of the back bubbled up after one wash. So if you need a rug that needs to be washed, do not buy this rug as it will deteriorate after washing. This rug is for beauty only because it is too small for any purpose and cannot be washed. In my opinion, every carpet that has been on the floor for 5 months needs to be washed.
