I am a beginner knitter so I bought all the bamboo wooden needles with straight and double pointed ends. I was under the impression that wooden needles are easier for beginners. After struggling with wooden needles and eventually breaking off some of the tips, I gave up and bought these metal needles. I could kick myself for not learning it! I can knit much faster and much more evenly and in a comfortable thickness. They glide over the yarn without being too slippery. Wooden needles always seem to result in tight stitches in my work and I had to compensate by deliberately loosening my natural thickness. Not with these!
