I didn't just want something to measure the temperature of my tank. I already have it. What I needed was a sensor that would turn on my tank's fan. Setup was a bit confusing - if you want Fahrenheit you have to press the settings button all the way down where you can select Celsius or Fahrenheit and then you can tweak the settings to your liking. The only thing I don't like is how sensitive the wiring is for the part of the thermometer that sits next to the controller - if you touch it wrong you get a high pitched beeping error code that doesn't stop as long as you press Set- Button. Now it's set up exactly how I want my tank, it's hooked up to a cooling fan and now I don't have to worry about running to the tank every hour to make sure the temperature is right for the axolotls . Dealing with frozen water bottles hourly was painful.
