Review on Messermeister 14 Inch Slicer Knife Edge Guard - Black: Premium Cutlery Protection by Anna Jackson

I bought this knife guard for my 10" Mercer Culinary Millenia bread knife and it is a very strong and durable knife guard, except that it only fits straight handles, not slanted handles. On a knife with a beveled handle (where the blade meets the handle) the guard does not fully cover the blade, leaving about a half inch open. I was nervous about the knife tossing in a drawer and accidentally running my hand over it so i took a dremel and sanded the edge on one side of the guard so it was skewed it's not pretty but it works and the blade is now fully covered. The 10" cut lid still fits a 10" knife so I'm happy with that. Now I'm going to add another protector for my 8" chef's knife buy with a straight handle.
