I bought these for a number of reasons. 1) because my kids keep dropping their remote controls. 2) because they lose their remotes and blame others for it 3) because they always seem to lose their remotes in dark places like under beds or behind other furniture. My kids drop their remotes all the time so luckily they fit snugly and securely around the remotes. The two different colors are handy to distinguish between the two remote controls. That way, they can't accuse each other of stealing someone else's remote control. The only downside is that they don't glow in the dark. These are bright neon colors that are beautiful but just don't glow. I still have to use a flashlight to find them when they're "lost forever".
