A few months ago I installed a silent compressor on my Nissan Xterra (if you are interested, see the YouTube video at RedonKiLaus) and recently noticed a slight squeaking noise when idling. Using a listening tube, I found that the problem was only very slight belt slippage in the fan area. I checked further and noticed that my belt tensioner was a bit loose. I ordered this unit and it is an exact replacement for what was originally on the car (made in Canada). Now my belt is tighter and the squeaking is gone. Excellent quality!
