I tried different things before getting them (eg zip ties which were useless). When I first planted jasmine over a decade ago, elastic garden tie was enough to secure the vines to the posts they were planted in. The vines are now well rooted and very dense on the underside. I bought these hoping they would be strong enough to secure the vines. They are, but I only want to find them in 30 inches. I have no idea how well they will hold up, but so far so good. An added bonus is that the jasmine was just starting to bloom while I was working on it. today ;o)
