Purchased in May 2017, installed on a 20ft boat in August 2017. Must be replaced now from January 2020. The IMO unit should last at least 4-6 years if care is taken to keep the IE closed and with minimal water contact. This is moisture that collects behind the glass. Soft buttons wear out, moisture gets in, and bingo becomes a problem. If kept in a box and cared for, the console will likely last a long time. The block has plenty of power. If they raised it a bit more it would be great, did you make a cover for your head? It will last a long time and make people happy. Most of the comments were about humidity, but of course I ignored it as I take care of my gear. I wish Planet Audio would send me a new unit for half the price so I could just plug it in and let it rockin' through this crazy time.
