Very nice little radio

This review is about the Planet Audio PGR35B round radio. I bought this radio for installation in a small mobile home. Installation was easy, radio works great and sounds great. Pros: - Compact, fits almost anywhere; - Features an adjustable mid-frequency equalizer not found on most radios in this class; hours of instructions to find out; - Good output, no need for an amplifier unless you like LOUD or have a lot of space to cover. Cons: - Gets hot. HOT;;- Direct line only. does not come withโ€ฆ

The device confuses most people. 100% yes, moisture got into the glass and the volume button shorted out.

Purchased in May 2017, installed on a 20ft boat in August 2017. Must be replaced now from January 2020. The IMO unit should last at least 4-6 years if care is taken to keep the IE closed and with minimal water contact. This is moisture that collects behind the glass. Soft buttons wear out, moisture gets in, and bingo becomes a problem. If kept in a box and cared for, the console will likely last a long time. The block has plenty of power. If they raised it a bit more it would be great, did youโ€ฆ

good quality, great looks, easy install, good support

The Planet Audio PGR35B was an inexpensive replacement for a broken radio in my pontoon. I used existing speakers and the radio fitted right into the existing dash cutout, making installation easy. The built-in weather radio lets me know about upcoming inclement weather, and I can easily connect my iPod or phone to Bluetooth, or download music to a flash drive and use the USB port to play or charge. Fantastic sound and easy installation!

Unit has been in the boat for 2 weeks now, no moisture or lens fogging yet but our Weldcraft boat is well protected from the weather. Installation was easy! 3" bit, aluminum cut-out flattened, put in, shackle and 2 nuts put on, done! The wiring is standard for a car audio system, nothing surprising here. Sound quality, it shocks me! I don't really have much of this small device expected, but combined with good speakers (driven by Polk DB652 UltraMarine 6ยฝ coaxial speakers with a custom bottomโ€ฆ
