I use this to move some peripherals that I have connected to my Surface Pro (I only needed two cables) Next to the Surface Pro: Power and USB Cables). The USB cable goes to a powered hub, which then branches off to this hub, to which I've added a low-profile fingerprint sensor and headphones. Everything works as expected and this little hub drives my Sony headphones with decent sound quality without any issues. The only downside is the lighting: it's terribly bright! They have a 5000 mcd LED or something like that. This LED is so bright that at night the light from the audio/microphone jack is enough to illuminate the wall. Solution (will void your warranty): Unscrew the screws on the bottom of the device, open the case and dim the LED (in the center of the hub's daughter card) with black marker, nail polish or whatever, then close it . save again. the task is solved.
