Worked directly on my 1978 GMC Heavy Half
Thought there might be some wiring issues considering the connector I had as it was new Switch had 8 plugs instead of 7, but I easily connected it through the same plug without connecting an extra contact. Be sure to clean the connector harness with a spray cleaner before connecting. Mine was full of dirt and I sprayed it with brake cleaner. The dirt there seems to be all original, from 1978. After replacing all the bulbs on the neat one, everything works as it should, the dimmer and all that.
