Do you think that simply replacing the gas cap will turn this light off? Possibly, but check the code - this is usually a problem. Since it was changed, no problem. (This was for my 2000 Ody. Thought I'd replace it myself but reluctantly concluded I was getting too old to crawl under a car (or maybe too old to want to crawl under a car) . ? ). Anyway, the mechanic who did the job told me that when I brought the car in for something else that I didn't want to bother with, told me it was so rusty down there they should have packed the part, but that was past .summer, and still ok.
