The check engine light came on on a 2000 Honda Accord Special Edition. Trouble code p1457 EVAP indicates that the check valve is defective. Bought this model and installed it, works great and the engine light went out after another OBD test. Probably the best price compared to what AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts wanted.

I have engine check code P1457 on my Honda Accord. After replacing the old check valve with this one, my car has been driven about 500 miles and the test engine code P1457 does not come up again. The old check valve was a Dorman (same part and part number) that replaced the OEM check valve. The last Dorman check valve lasted about 6 years. I hope this one lasts just as long.

I had a P1457 Check Engine Light on my 01 Accord which fixed this valve. I narrowed the list down to this valve after turning the other valves on and off with the scanner. There's a Honda technical bulletin that also points to the bypass valve as the culprit if there's no audible click when you turn it on. Close the valve by hand and use the vacuum on the other port. Bought this part to fix p1457 Check Engine Code on my 2000 Honda Accord. The original valve installed in my car must have been leaking due to corrosion (it was quite rusty) which caused the code.
