Works, had to complain

Two key rings were broken or wobbly, the key worked perfectly, as did the remote control functions. Stumbled across the keychain tray and decided to give it a try. If you choose to do this, you might as well change the battery while you're at it. Takes CR1616. Two keychains (sold in pairs) did not come with instructions. The inspection showed how to do it.1. Remove the small screw on the back (knobs on the front).2. Dismantle the housing. There is a small indentation next to the button. The case opens to the end of the key ring held by the tongue. There are two parts inside the keychain.3. Remove the electronics unit from the key fob. Clean the outside of the electronics box with a brush (any light brush will do).4. Carefully, gently, and with great care, lift one of the tabs on either end of the electronics box. Lift the cover to reveal the battery. Replace with new CR1616. Replace cover. Check the buttons to make sure they work. If not, check if the battery is installed correctly. It's easy to reverse it.5. Remove the key from the old key fob. Wiggling (with tongue pinched) helps a lot. Insert the key into the new drop. Make sure it's installed properly. If the screw hole is visible through the body of the key fob, you're done.7. Please put the electronics package (buttons towards the holes in the key fob) into the key fob.8. Close the key fob by inserting the protrusion at the end of the key ring into the appropriate hole.9. Close and latch the key fob. The only problem as it is achievable is that the Honda decal was difficult to apply. It took me a minute to figure out what glue to put on the badge. I don't know about durability as it's new. Looks well done. Better not pay Honda big bucks for a smelly fob.
