Insanely bright stuff. In fact, I almost worry that I'll have to turn it off out of compassion for the drivers behind me when I'm riding with friends. But for safety from cars on the road, anyone who doesn't see this light is talking on the phone. The mount is fine if you have a vertical seatpost, which means it fits my bike perfectly. The only reason I don't give the mount 5 stars is that there is no way to adjust to the saddle mount if a bike (my wife) doesn't have a seat stem because the seat is set too low and the frame is underneath behind tires. An additional saddle mount would be very practical here. But for everyone else, if you don't need smart brake detection, you can't do better than this light.
