Review on Optimized Universal 24214 B234SR120M A000I Fluorescent Ballast by Scott Schram

My problem was that the light just flickered when turned on. I've tried swapping out fluorescent lights and it's still flickering. I bought this and replaced a 20 year old Advance Mark III R-2S40-1-P ballast with two fluorescent tubes. I cut eight wires a few inches from the old ballast and took it out. I made sure the length of this ballast is the same (9.5 inches) and it fits the old one perfectly with no modifications. It had the same eight colored wires (2 blue, 2 red, 2 yellow, 1 black, 1 white) as the old one, so I just matched them, stripped 1/2 inch of insulation from each wire and connected them with medium sized nuts. It works! It turns on instantly where the old ballast left. Let's see how long this lasts.
