Review on 🔧 Hunter 27183 Dual Slide Fan/Light Control: Enhanced Fan/Light Preset for Ultimate Comfort by Mike Lunde

We installed a ceiling fan/light in the master bedroom as part of a renovation and were able to hook up the required 3 wire Romex to run the fan and lights separately from the junction box. After a few weeks of work, we installed the Hunter Switch as a highlight. We loved it. The slide switches took some getting used to and the on/off switch for the main preset felt a bit cheap, but we were quickly spoiled by the smooth dimmer and 4-speed fan controls. Our joy lasted less than a year. The fan controller is broken. I could now see how the handles attached to the sliders and it looks like they were destined to fail: the blade on the back of the handle inserts into a slot in the thin plastic slider. When you unscrew a switch cover, expect the job to last for years or decades. This transition lasted only a few months. Very disappointing.
