Okay, bought this pump and replaced the broken one that comes on the frame of my Jeep Scrambler 84/4.0 Cherokee engine. while it works fine. In the future I will also install a specially tuned first built-in electric pump in the gas tank to avoid fuel shortage problems. I gave this pump 3 stars because it makes a consistent high pitched pitched sound. I've installed this pump in a tin box lined with cellular rubber insulation mat (supplied) and yet the whine is clearly audible throughout the car. This pump is relatively cheap so if the sound is the only issue I would buy it again. In general, if you have enough money, do your research. There are silent pumps.
