I received these spool holders which are actually used to avoid tangling the thread once the spools are fully threaded and ready to be stored for later use. I usually had to wrap a piece of paper and a rubber band around the spool to keep the thread from getting lost, but it's a lot easier to check a fully threaded spool with these pinching plastic inserts, and because these inserts are different colors, they let me determine what thread color to use. This is a very good product that I highly recommend, especially if you are into embroidery.
