Review on πŸ”§ Revolutionary Astro 3081 Dial Tire Inflator: Ultimate Air Pressure Control by Ron Turner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Almost perfect result

First impression. The gauge is huge, much bigger than I thought, which doesn't bother me because it's easier to read. It also feels stiff, seems like if you throw it on the ground it will bounce back at you depending on how much rubber it has (which is also a plus for me). I was actually expecting leaks as another review said it was leaking from the gauge range but no leaks at all. I also like that it sticks really well to the valve stem, I doubt it will as just working in the shop today on the first day I checked about 3 cars with 12 tires. I'll keep you posted if anything happens to him or I run into any problems. Now the only thing I don't like and it doesn't bother me too much but I wish they would change that. Unless the gauge goes up to 180psi (well, that's good, because that means all seals are good to 180psi), but in reality, you'll most likely never inflate a tire to 180psi per square inch, Astro can do it Manometers go from 0 to 120, and even then most people won't inflate anything to that pressure. Why does this bother me now? Because while it's already a good read, it would be even better if the gauge were larger that useless 60psi (from 120-180) could be used. To make the gauge even easier to read by making this gauge PREFECTIVE! But that's just me. Overall a really good sensor and I hope it will last a long time.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Upgradable
