Much better than the stock antenna.

First of all, I never use the radio, but it comes in handy in an emergency. This antenna picks up everything just like the longer standard antenna. It's also an easy replacement. I live in northern Montana and the back roads I like to explore for fishing and camping have branches chasing my antenna. Now I'm not worried about that. Also, the wind whipped a standard antenna around something hard. It doesn't bother me anymore either. The new short is flexible, but not very. It's so short you don't have to worry. Branches will roll right down ;)
