Review on SIIG 1X4 HDMI 2 0 Splitter by Devin Jirsa

I got this so I can capture footage on my 1080p60 capture device while playing games in full 4k60 resolution. When it worked, it worked, but only occasionally. The video was randomly edited and the time between frames ranged from 10 minutes to, on very rare occasions, an hour and a half at best. Sometimes frames came back pretty quickly. Sometimes it didn't work and I had to unplug and plug the HDMI splitter back in to get it working again. Over time it stopped restarting itself without manual intervention. Today it has completely passed out and no longer works at all. The power indicator flashes orange but is not lit. It definitely doesn't stream footage anymore. It has only been 4 months since purchase. Needless to say, I am very disappointed that this device gave up the ghost so quickly after purchase, especially considering it was almost $50 at the time of purchase. To say I feel left out is an understatement.
