Review on TOKO T8 Wax Iron - Yellow, 800 Watts: An Efficient Tool for Waxing by Michael Hughes

Best waxing iron I have ever used. I had a Swix T74 iron prior to purchasing this iron, while the T74 works well in warm weather and with "universal" paraffins can't stay hot enough for paraffins in cold weather. I even won a Wintersteiger digital iron a week after buying a Toko T8 and I still love this iron. The grooves on the Toko T8 plate really help distribute the wax across the base of the ski, no more greasy streaks where it drips onto the base but good even coverage. It has been able to hold its temperature for all of the different waxes I use, but I have not used it with any of the highly fluorinated powders that require very high temperatures. I assume there won't be any temperature issues but the grooves can push too much powder away from the base of the ski but then again I haven't tried it and don't intend to unless someone wants to buy one. Fluorine powder for me.
