Installed in minutes in 2010 Prius

Quick look on day of receipt/installation. These props arrived 6 days before the estimated delivery date. This is during the COVID-19 frenzy so delivery times are completely arbitrary, especially for such a non-essential item. The elevators arrived in perfect condition, in nice plastic cases, clean and not smelly, not greasy or anything. A one-page instruction manual was included, which I read before starting. I was able to replace the existing (weak) jack stands on my 2010 Toyota Prius myself in about 4 minutes. I'm over 2m tall so I can hold the trunk open with my head while changing jack legs. For most people I would recommend a stable brace/brace or someone to help. The hardest part is carefully removing the clips from the old supports. I didn't realize the clips weren't part of the car but part of the item I was replacing. If I had known that, I would have been a little less careful and would have done it faster. new lift bearing on the ball joint. I was concerned that the new cylinders had developed a "static seal" (described in the installation guide) and needed to be checked. I couldn't get the lift arm to compress *at all* while holding it in my hands and was on the verge of calling customer service for help. I raised the trunk a little higher than normal to install the rack, the weight of the rack plus the mechanical advantage of the hinge caused the rack to compress as usual. Read the directions ahead of time and heed the old U tape warning. fly away and meet someone. I almost hit myself in the face with one of mine. It's absolutely more economical than having them replaced at your local Toyota dealership. I think they wanted 10x the cost of that set of jack legs to have them replaced at the dealer. I will change this rating after they have been installed for a few months. It's insanely hot today and these cylinders will function differently in cold weather.
