Review on 🚲 BELL Nomad MIPS Adult Mountain Bike Helmet: Uncompromised Safety and Style! by Original Mansel

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I wanted to please, but it didn't work out

So at first glance a very nice helmet. Matte Gray is a medium matte gray as opposed to Giro Fixture which is almost white. Fits well and adjusts well on both the ratchet closure system and the chin strap and also under the ears. But while wearing it, something on the front irritated my forehead, prompting me to take a closer look at the inside. only padded on the front and sides, two narrow strips in the middle at the top, that's it, behind the ear, over the ear and along the back no padding. The padding is also VERY thin, unlike Giro Fixture or Bell Spark. The liner is also not attached to the inside of the MIPS shell with Velcro, but instead goes under two plastic loops near the center of the helmet. Those exposed plastic loops irritate my forehead. I had extra padding from another helmet so I tried padding that area but there was only a pressure point due to the extra padding in two localized areas. If Bell had spent the extra 0.50 and made the padding thicker this would have been a GREAT helmet but I just can't get over the irritation on my forehead. He will be sent back. If I could give 3.5 stars it would be more appropriate.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are some problems
