Description of ๐Ÿšฒ BELL Nomad MIPS Adult Mountain Bike Helmet: Uncompromised Safety and Style!

FUSION IN-MOLD POLYCARBONATE SHELL - A process pioneered by Bell bonds the helmet's outer shell to the EPS foam liner to create a sturdier helmet. MIPS-EQUIPPED - MIPS stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System, which is a leading slip-plane technology inside the helmet designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts. ERGO FIT - What was once ErgoDial now has an improved dial feel and function (no longer requires a push to turn) and is more sleek and less bulky. NO-TWIST TRI-GLIDES - Quick-adjust fasteners that help keep straps flat and properly positioned. SPECIFICATIONS - Universal Adult (53-60 cm) size; 15 helmet vents.

Bell quality and fit

I am updating my Bell helmet range and this is my second Bell MIPS. I'm a conservative driver and appreciate the new features. The statements of other drivers about surviving falls also helped me in the decision-making process. Safety first, last and always.

  • Price
Cons
  • Negative gift

Still Alive - Cycling

It's comfortable, lightweight and fits great. UPDATE: Alive, no serious injuries. I had an accident going down a hill (my GPS showed about 28mph). I hit my head on the ground and to be honest I didn't feel anything. I'm sure he did his job. I would definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Nice inexpensive helmet with Mips lining

I bought this helmet for my son it was created from another Bell Trail helmet I bought for him. I know this will take a beating, but I wanted to get something with a mips liner. It's the perfect combination of cost and features. He is very satisfied and finds it very useful.

FIT ONLY - Cycling

A little small for me. I don't like it as much as the new Giro which fits better both in shape and looks. My head is 59.5. This is my least favorite of my new helmets. I keep it as a spare for friends though as I have a tandem and all my old helmets look shabby.

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • No performance

Heavy helmet with very thin pads

Bought as it is a cheap MTB helmet with mips. I removed the Bell decal on the left side of the helmet as it looks very shabby and doesn't have the traditional oval Bell logo. It looks small but it fits just right. The pads are very thin, which is about as good as no pads. That is hard. I regret my purchase. I spend $$$.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Excellent fit and feel

I haven't put this to the ultimate test and hope I haven't. Early use leads me to think the Bell's level of protection has really improved, with the fit feeling very firm and the firm foam feeling more massive. I thought the hard plastic interior would get hot, but I didn't notice much of a difference from my previous Bell, even when driving in the 80+ degree Florida sun. My only complaint is that the helmet whistles at the slightest provocation. Strange.

Pros
  • Easy set up
Cons
  • Repair

I wanted to please, but it didn't work out

So at first glance a very nice helmet. Matte Gray is a medium matte gray as opposed to Giro Fixture which is almost white. Fits well and adjusts well on both the ratchet closure system and the chin strap and also under the ears. But while wearing it, something on the front irritated my forehead, prompting me to take a closer look at the inside. only padded on the front and sides, two narrow strips in the middle at the top, that's it, behind the ear, over the ear and along the back no paddingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are some problems
