Review on 🚒 Fusion Entertainment MS-RA70N: Advanced Marine Entertainment System with Bluetooth and NMEA 2000 Compatibility by Deelo Sylvester

GOOD BUT MAY NEED SOME UPDATES

I have just purchased this to replace a Pioneer CD receiver that was installed on a 25ft marine boat with JBL 6x9 marine speakers which I really like can recommend. It was installed under my center console. The only reason I replaced it was because I had to go to the center console to manually change the volume, channels, etc. I would give this KA70N 5 stars but it has these issues. Note. I just installed this device yesterday and haven't tried Spotify or Pandora yet. Pros: The KA70N appears to be built for extreme weather and saltwater conditions. Hopefully it only has a 1 year warranty. The Fusion Link app works great as a Bluetooth remote control. The sound is good, not outstanding, just a long-awaited multimedia design. Nobody plays CDs anymore, especially not in rough seas. It fits in a standard receiver cutout but can be a bit wider. Easy to install and manage. Cons: The Fusion Link app doesn't turn the device on and off, why not? The old-style LED screen is still black and white, why? The sound of my Pioneer far exceeds the sound quality of this Fusion. 200 watts of declared power is too high. Now I need to buy a marine booster which costs another $350. The price of $319.99 + tax for a media-only head unit (no CD or DVD player) is too much. At this price it should at least come with an antenna cable and all the cables for that point. This is a good device. It may be excellent with some of the fixes listed above. You can't go wrong with this unit, just be prepared to buy an external amplifier.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
