Review on ⚡️ NGK (57020) RC-VWC034 High-Performance Spark Plug Wire Set by Kelly Noonan

Good price you're back on the road

I bought these while helping a friend fix his 2000 VW Jetta V6. It all started with the fuse box/power distributor above the battery. It was rusty and needed a replacement which I bought from Amazon (see my other reviews). It fitted perfectly, the only quirk was that one of the fuses was less force than the OEM so I just swapped it out. It started first but wouldn't idle after warming up, so after I did the soapy water trick. It was fairly obvious that there were breaks around the wires, meaning the spark plugs and ignition coil pack could also be replaced. After all, the prices were much cheaper than at the dealer or mechanic. In general, these wires were solid. Dimensions were the same, only issue was the grips were sticking out a bit than the OEM, but the engine cover wasn't hanging on it or anything so it was ok. The car starts and runs smoothly, not a single check engine light comes on and he is thrilled. The total cost of all those parts (6 NGK flat connectors, ignition coil, those wires, dielectric grease)? $170 and lunch/beer. Helpful Installation Tips - Make sure the wires are routed from the driver's side (on the right hand side when facing the engine) so the cover is routed in the correct direction towards the ignition coil when replacing. Block. Purchase a small tube of dielectric grease, apply a little in and to the first 1/4 of the dust boot (spark plug side) and then a little to the corner/side manifold boot before installation. It helps insulate moisture vapor, preventing it from getting in if you need to take it off for any reason. Oh yes, if you're replacing what I did, remove the battery and its covers, the air intake to the throttle body, and the engine cover. If not, it's quick and you just have to disconnect the battery and remove the engine cover. Anything else you can slingshot for in the engine bay.
