Review on ⚙️ BC037S-iBeacon: Bluetooth BLE Blue Charm Beacons - Configurable with Free Android and iPhone Apps for Easy Usage by Adam Shuler

Setting up the beacon was very easy with the app (I downloaded it from the play store following the instructions on the website). I just used the default settings at first, so technically I didn't even have to use the app. But I thought it would be fun to at least change the lighthouse name to something personal. I also successfully modified the UUID with something new and tested different transmit power and interval settings. Everything seems to be going smoothly. I was curious to see how much the transmission range would affect the increase in transmission power. On the highest transmit setting (+4), the beacon signal could be read continuously from my smartphone at a distance of 78 meters, which is more than the specifications of the claimed product say. I've tested this with numerous readings at a nearby school soccer field, so I think it's pretty accurate. For my current application I really need a short transmit distance, so I will set the transmit power to the minimum value (-28). But in the future I might have another project that requires more distance and it's nice to know that I have the opportunity and that the lighthouse can (over)deliver. The setup instructions on the website were also very clear and informative. Personally, I love pictures along with verbal descriptions, so I rated all of their screenshots to make sure I'm doing the right thing step by step. Overall, I'm very happy with this beacon and plan to buy four more right away. . The price is amazing for this quality, and the cute little box is perfect for both protecting the lighthouse and gifting to customers.
