I have used All Clad for many years. This is my first nonstick all-clad set with glass lids (Essentials Antistick Pot Set 4-Piece Grey) that I bought from Revain. I bought these about three months ago to replace an old set of nonstick pans (Macy's brand) with glass lids that I've been using for almost 15 years. I've only used my new All Clad nonstick pans a few (8 to 10) times, usually to reheat soups and sauces. They are not used daily and I take good care of them when using them. So, today I heated the soup in a 4.5 liter saucepan on my gas stove, then turned off the heat and covered the saucepan with a glass lid. . Three minutes later, my daughter was standing in the kitchen next to the stove and heard a loud "pop". She found the lid was broken and luckily for us the jar didn't break. However, I threw the soup away because I wasn't sure if the micro glass shards wouldn't end up in the soup. . I wanted to report the potential dangers/harms of using their product but instead I found to my surprise that All Clad is not responsible for the safety and durability of all their products - they informed me that their "limited" Manufacturer's warranty applies against defects. Does NOT apply to lids. I was told I couldn't buy a replacement even if I wanted to, but they sell universal lids and I have to buy them when I need a lid for my pan. WHAT? The biggest disappointment.
