If possible I would give minus 5 stars. None of the 4-pin PWM fans I connected to the adapter worked at all. They didn't turn. I have tried one fan for each of the 8 adapter inputs and several different headers on the motherboard including the CPU fan header. I went into the BIOS and tried many different possible fan speed settings from 50% to 100%, PWM mode or constant current. I've tried all sorts of suggestions I found on various forums. Nothing helped. To make matters worse, after I discarded the adapter, 3/4 of the fans I tested stopped working! A few hours ago they were working when plugged directly into the motherboard, but when I plugged them back into the motherboard they were completely broken! Now I have to spend more money to buy replacement fans. Sure it works for some people but the quality control of this product would have to be terrible for this to happen and I can't in good conscience recommend it.
