so far so good best in Computers and Accessories

Unfortunately 1 of the 3 hubs ordered has a slightly deformed housing which prevents all 4 mounting points from fully engaging. I used velcro to hold it in place which also kept the case closed. The other two are attached with the included 3M strips. They are similar to velcro in that they are two piece and detach with an adhesive backing, but the plastic pin design is much nicer than velcro. Connected objects stay nice and flat without wiggling or twisting like hook and loop fasteners do. All…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

This hub does not control fan speed. It has a cable with a 4-pin header attached that needs to be connected to the 4-pin fan header on the motherboard. I have tried connecting it to both 4 pin headers on my MOBO and in both cases the fans are all running at full speed. Changing the MOBO BIOS settings has no effect. I can't make the fans run faster or slower, they all run at the maximum speed stated by the manufacturer. To prove it's a hub, I tried connecting the fans individually to the MOBO…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Works well looks nice I like it

I really like this product, it can split a fan header into 8 and doesn't consume power from your motherboard. It also does this while looking sleek just in case you need to place it in a prominent spot in your case. It doesn't feel cheap, but it doesn't feel like it's top quality either. It is powered by the SATA connector. It connects the speed controller from the 4th pin on the motherboard to all 8 fans and it connects the speed information of the fan connected to the shiny port to the 3rd…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The product didn't work at all and COMPLETELY BROKE 3 of my fans.

If possible I would give minus 5 stars. None of the 4-pin PWM fans I connected to the adapter worked at all. They didn't turn. I have tried one fan for each of the 8 adapter inputs and several different headers on the motherboard including the CPU fan header. I went into the BIOS and tried many different possible fan speed settings from 50% to 100%, PWM mode or constant current. I've tried all sorts of suggestions I found on various forums. Nothing helped. To make matters worse, after I…

Looks like a great little fan hub

Looks like a great little fan hub. But it doesn't work for me. I have an ASUS Maximus VI Hero motherboard. When I connect 4 pin PWM fans to it and connect the Silverstone to one of my 4 pin chassis fan headers (1, 2 or 3) all my fans just run at full speed. The BIOS detects that a fan is connected and reads the RPM, but the fan speed does not respond to changes in the BIOS. ASUS Ai Suite also reports the fan speed, but doesn't allow changes without fully recognizing that a fan is connected…

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Almost never

ALMOST RUINED MY COMPUTER

I bought this because it had amazing reviews. However, after purchasing it, I decided to look at the 1-star reviews to see what kind of issues people were having. The most common of these was that people couldn't control their fans (shpm). This is most likely caused by not using the CPU_FAN header, instead using the cha fan or sys fan header. Usually these control power, not PWM. However, this is NOT MY PROBLEM. I read in a certain review that this controller actually burned one of their hard…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I will add later

Power 8 PWM fans from one motherboard fan header with this fan hub. Not for use with 3-pin fans. Not intended for use with non-PWM motherboard fan headers. This fan hub takes 12V power from the SATA power connector and uses it to power up to 8 4-pin PWM fans. The PWM speed control cable and the tachometer sensor cable are connected to your computer's motherboard, allowing you to control the speed of all 8 fans at the same time. a plug with a groove in the plastic around it. This is unavoidable…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
