We have vertical deflectors in cars. This retainer worked well until it was slightly ajar and then when I tried to adjust/tighten it the hook that grabs the vent from the back bent slightly and it fell off. fell. Our vents are the most awkward for car phone holders I've seen, so it's not really the product's fault, but this hook could be made a little stronger, and it's not very 'deep' either, as it barely gets into ours Ventilation grille fits. 3 stars for working most of the time and not completely breaking down like the last product.
