Review on 🔔 Knog Oi Bike Bell: Original & Luxe Styles with Cable-Clip - Adult/Youth Bicycle Bell (Black, Copper, Brass, Aluminum) by Mysocalled Gaultier

With increased traffic on local trails due to Covid-19, it became necessary to add a bike bell to warn other trail runners of their impending doom. I tried rubber chicken first, but that approach created several problems that were more trouble than they were worth. While the chicken squeak was quite satisfying, it can get a bit overwhelming on a long drive. Since there's no really good way to silence a chicken other than grabbing it tightly around the neck, tying up the entire arm to choke the chicken (except when you walk by). As you can imagine, this isn't ideal for off-road driving. The second problem I had was with the chicken. It's quite large and crowds the cockpit. I found this Knog Oi Classic (Small) to be the perfect solution to both of those problems. It fits perfectly in every cab, looks tidy and is easy to reach with your thumb. As you can see in the picture, it's located just below the new Shimano M7100 style brake lever (on the left). It also stays completely silent until you want someone to notice your darkness. A quick flick of your thumb and you get a nice single beep that's just the right volume and tone to alert other trail users from the right distance. I have since ordered more to fit all my bikes. Highly recommended as a safety measure when riding multi-purpose trails.
