I ordered this bell for my Cannondale Synapse road bike as I occasionally ride on a paved bike path frequented by strollers and small children on bikes. I found that pedestrians couldn't hear my shout "Left!" so I decided to try shouting instead. I like the design of this product as it is elegant and understated. It doesn't take up much space on the handlebars and even has a nice cut-out underneath for cable management. The bell installs quickly and easily and seems loud enough for my purposes.

The thing is beautiful! Unfortunately, I need something that will actually make people aware of my presence BEFORE I get there, and that's not happening. I tested it on a very quiet railroad track near me and people didn't seem to notice at all.
