This was an impulse buy for me. I really like it, but here are some things you might want to know: * It's not tiny and doesn't take up much space in a nano tank. I set it on its side.* It reads the water temperature through the glass. There are no sensors in the water. Holds very tight. They don't include extra tape so this could be a problem in the future.* It doesn't have a waterproof label and doesn't appear to be waterproof. I would try NOT to get this item wet. *Additional battery included. * The assembly instructions on the packaging are vague and confusing. The best instructions are posted on Amazon along with advertising for this item. * It's very easy to read and seems very accurate (I use it along with a standard water temp monitor) * You need another way to check the temp of the water in the bucket when you're adding water to your tank. Overall I like it and am happy with the purchase.
