Budget lenses with excellent visibility. He is very sensitive to light. I was cooking by the window in the garage and the bright sunlight made it dark. I bought this to add a passive Hobart hood for $20 so the hood and lens was $70 and it was the best setup at that price point. This lens was intended for home projects and I'm not sure how durable it will be for outdoor/commercial use. Perhaps this is normal for a workshop welder.
