I bought this to control the high RPM electric Taurus fan in my 1995 Nissan hardbody pickup. The Taurus fan can draw over 40A at high settings. I didn't want to melt and damage the stock SPDT relay (30A). This relay is the same as the one that came with my T-Max Dual Battery System. I installed this relay on the plastic housing of my Taurus fan. I bought battery boot terminals to cover the large tabs from accidental shorts. ****** Update March 30, 2016 ***** I am providing an update. The electrical terminals on this relay have started to rust due to the high humidity in Hawaii. I would recommend using stainless steel nuts on these utility poles, should the rust become unbearable you at least have the option of removing the connections.
